FORGING: Our manufacturing process begins by heating raw metal to over 1,000 degrees and shaping it between two dies on a forging hammer using impact force. This Forging process provides the desired shape and also benefits of aligning the grain flow to obtain hardness and strength.
HEAT TREATMENT: After forging and some machining, the pliers undergo heat treatment processes. During the heating and cooling stages, the metal properties are improved or changed in terms of strength, hardness, ductility, elasticity, or wear resistance. Our pliers are heated and cooled under tight controls and receive extra induction hardening on the cutting area to obtain an ideal balance of these properties on each part for superior durability.
SHARPENING: Heat-treated pliers in the best condition are polished and assembled to proceed to the sharpening process, which is the most important step in determining their cutting performance. Our pliers are sharpened piece by piece by experienced artisans using hand-work. Any slight deformation caused during the heat treatment process is adjusted, and the pliers obtain the best cutting performance with the optimal edge thickness and angle for each purpose.
TSUNODA Hold Pliers, Stable Plane Contact: The special curved jaws of these pliers keep the contact surface parallel in a wide opening range. They also feature an extra adjustment position for 50% less handle opening width, making them versatile and convenient to use.
